You will work in our teeny-tiny ice cream shop scooping ice cream and serving our guests.
You may work alone on slower days and with others on busier days.
This job will pause at the end of October and restart the following Spring.

Represent Alleyway and be the reason customers come back again and again.

Scoop ice cream.
Immediately fix problems when something goes wrong.
Know your schedule and keep your availability up to date.
Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists.
Politely ask happy customers for five-star reviews.
Operate the point of sale system, clean, and be assigned and taught other tasks as needed.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards with care.
Work quickly while under pressure during busy periods.
Use good judgment in all situations.
Rarely use your phone at work.
Memorize important information about Alleyway and our ice cream in order to accurately answer customers' questions.
Eat a lot of ice cream and have fun.
Qualifications:
16 years or older.
Working papers (if under 18) Available to work until the end of October.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Willing and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Honest and punctual.
Kind, polite, outgoing, caring, creative and organized.
Eager to learn.
Access to a phone that can text, make calls, and access our scheduling app.
Capable of scooping hard ice cream for hours at a time.
You have planned no more than 10 straight days off, May 24 - Sept 2.
Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Scooping ice cream is physically demanding.
Once trained, you may be scheduled to operate the store alone.
Shifts will vary, but typical shifts are 11:

This job goes until the end of October, when we close for the season Winter work opportunities may be available.
