Production Control Assistant

- Assist warehouse with receiving containers and storing inventory, as needed.
- Count and verify product to ensure quantities and product match the shop order.
- Inspect parts for workmanship defects - Pack parts using existing packing materials and processes.
- Notify manager or group leader of problems with equipment and/or product.
- Assist with cycle counts - Pull parts from the inventory shelves per the packing list - Verify part numbers and quantities against packing lists for all shipments.
- Label parts, mark packing slips and mark shop orders to maintain traceability and identification per established procedures.
- Inspect incoming customer material for damage - Maintain MI instruction files for machining - Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety and applicable quality and departmental procedures.
- Recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet organizational and customer objectives and business conditions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of receiving and shipping documents and procedures - Ability to operate a computer - Ability to control & organize inventory and inventory records - Moderate to heavy lifting is required from time to time - Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Note:
