Financial transaction organization and processing is central to the success of our accounting department.
This role will take on a significant portion of this process by keying data, sorting documents, and processing digital transactions.
Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles you will work closely with vendors, clients, and internal staff to respond appropriately to their requests.
Main
Responsibilities:
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements Match PO invoices to prepare for weekly check Run/ACH process.
Maintain and update our Vendor Master database.
Reconcile monthly credit card statement.
Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers to assist with month end closing procedures.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience High School diploma is required, more education and experience is generally preferred Minimum 2 years' experience in office environment preferably in accounting / accounts payable.
Strong attention to detail & data entry accuracy Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information Computing, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, familiarly with an ERP or bookkeeping system would be an advantage Organization Competencies Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal financial regulations Job Type:
